Before the manga there was the Dragon Quest video game, from which new titles still come out today but it was not until 1989 that Riku Sanjo and Kōji Inada rescued the video game's plot from parts II and III to create the manga. This comic consists of 350 chapters divided into 37 volumes. It was published by Shueisha in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine between 1989 and 1996. Later, the Toei Animation studio adapted the manga for television into an anime. Which is the reason for this shirt. The protagonist, Dai, was renamed "Fly" in the West. The series in animated version, which dates the first broadcast in 1991 and its completion in 1992. In total, 46 episodes were made that did not cover the entire story due to the expensive production that this entailed. In spite of everything, 3 OVAs parallel to Las Aventuras de Fly were broadcast throughout the production.
