The USCSS NOSTROMO is the cargo ship where the movie Alien takes place. A 245-meter Juggernaut-class commercial freighter carrying an even larger refinery. All property of Weyland-Yutani.

A curiosity: The names and design of the film danced in the first months of filming. The original title of the film was going to be Star Beast and the name of the ship was Snark and not Nostromo. In the original design of the Alien, out of the mind of the great H.R. Giger, the beast had eyes in the head, although later they were eliminated to give a more terrifying aspect.
